EQUAL GLOBAL

NETWORK

Education Quality & Learning for All (EQUAL) is a network that engages research organizations and education NGOs to support countries in achieving SDG 4: "Ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning" through rigorous measurement and action with signature initial funding from the Ford Foundation and the Catalyst Foundation for Universal Learning. We partner with the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) along with other international organizations. EQUAL is part of Global TIES for Children supported by NYU and NYU Abu Dhabi.

The EQUAL network aims to build the capacity of junior researchers in MENA and SSA by

1) pairing them with more senior researchers from these regions,

2) requiring them to partner with NGO and/or government partners and

3) providing the support of an extensive and credentialled Advisory Board who are at the forefront of their fields in Education and Human Development in these regions.

Since 2017, EQUAL has provided seed grant funding to 11 grantees from MENA and 16 grantees from SSA with a total of 3 cohorts.

We facilitate a network of scholars/researchers that facilitates mentorship relationships and partnership with regional experts and national NGOS/governments. Read more about what we do and who we work with here.
